Toronto-born, Sunny Fong, is the Creative Director behind Canadian luxury label, VAWK. He is a graduate of Ryerson University’s Image Arts program, where his studies in film led him to costume design and eventually into fashion design.

Fong launched VAWK—“of divine creativity” in Sanskrit spelled phonetically— in 2004, and he was met with much acclaim as an up-and-coming designer to watch. In 2009, Fong was the winner of the 2nd season of Project Runway Canada, consistently impressing viewers and judges throughout its 13-episode run. Fong’s win launched the VAWK brand to international acclaim, showing yearly collections at Toronto Fashion Week, dressing celebrities for the red carpet, and launching his first capsule collection in 2009.
